Great place , food and service are of the highest quality , you no longer feel like a customer , you feel like Family. Great Sunday Brunch until 1pm! From traditional eggs with thick bacon, to Eggs Benedict offered 3 different ways, to the Stuffed French Toast that is really yummy, and you can't pass up $3 mimosas to make lazy Sunday morning special with friends, to the friendly wait staff, this place is a hidden secret right off of Alt 19, although now recommended on Trip Advisor. After brunch, NFL Ticket has all the games on their TV's so next time, it'll be for lunch or their Italian dinner specials that change weekly.

My friends Glenn and Keith took me to the OT for dinner last week...what a great little place! The owner (Chris, I think) was super charming and was nice enough to make a little table for us even though the place was packed for Valentines Day. He stopped by the table a couple of times to check that everything was going well...sometimes that can be irritating, but with him it just felt like a pal was stopping by the table. Seems like a great guy! While spaghetti and meatballs is probably not the most exciting thing on the menu...Wowsers! That was sauce (called gravy in my family) was fresh and delicious...I could have just eaten it with bread. The meatballs had great taste and texture, but the sausage was a little prize. I don't usually eat sausage (find it gross really) but I tried it and loved it. The decor seems to be in transition from the bar that it was into a real restaurant...but, I hardly noticed the beer signs once I met the owner and tasted the food. Oh, I didn't mention the live music...fantastic! The guy singing was awesome but not so loud as to be distracting. Loved it. I'm certainly going to plan on going back to the OT when I'm back in Florida.

I'm surprised no one has heard about this jewel in Ozona. We started with the Cajun Chicken Nachos... We got a mountain of nachos.. Fresh tomatoes, blackened chicken home made tortilla chips... Enough food for a dinner for four. I had the spaghetti special. Came with 2 huge meatballs and an an Italian sausage... The sauce was amazing and the meatballs had to be at least quarter pound each, they were fantastic. My wife had the uncle paddy melt, she said it was very good. We shared the cannoli's, the owners wife made the filling, which was great. All in all a great meal, attentive service at a good price. Can't wait to go back.

I don't know if it's a pub, bar, sports bar, or a restaurant. Seems it's trying to be "all-in-one" and fails. Playing on the TVs was National Geographic Wild where a watched lions ripping apart a wildebeest. Which I usually don't mind, but not when I am about to order. And Gators football from the mid-90s. I wasn't impressed by the menu. Generic bar food and not much to choose from. Finally I got a Guinness and when it came to the table and it was all head.

They have a friendly feel to them. It's a local hang out for drinks and snacks. I could ha e packed the snacks and had better food. I got a coupon to give the place a try the picture they use is extremely deceptive to what they actually service. chunks of raw onion in the undercooked over salted.grits, and the request was for non Cajon spiced shrimp I wish they would have told me my other option was peppered shrimp. it was cooked perfectly just covered in pepper. I ate them because my husband has this thing where he refuses to take me out if I won't eat at least half of what I order. the wine was horrible and I don't know how they managed that except it must be very cheap for them and over priced for the customer 8.50 for one glass and keep in mind I couldn't drink it I sent it back and was still charged. the cook has no idea what he is doing but everyone seemed happy it had to be the beer. I don't recommend this place. go to Ozona pig same kind of small town local feel with AMAZING food. disappointed for sure. over all 80 and we didn't eat half of what we ordered.

Just recently went back to Ozona Tavern. It appears it's under new management as the decor and overall vibe seem a little classier. It was quite crowded and the owner or manager could not have been nicer. He was very attentive and checked on us frequently. He gave us the menu of "specials" and got our table ready. This is where things went a little wrong. The menu was different than what we remembered. Good menu, with some interesting options. We never received any other menu, so we figured that was it, and they changed the menu. We waited quite a while, even after our other party arrived, and a server never came. We had to ask a server to please take our order. We ordered a few appetizers and also our meals. After we ordered we noticed a whole bunch of food coming out that we didn't see on the menu. A little disappointing but I was OK with what I ordered. Others at my table were a little miffed. Apparently there is another menu that we didn't get. We saw nachos, burgers, sandwiches, fries, and other food coming out that wasn't on our menu. We waited quite a long time, at least 30 minutes for our food. The appetizers came out with the entrees, which of course is not what we wanted, and they were cold. That was definitely a downer. My salad was quite good, with grilled shrimp on top. The live music was good, the atmosphere is fun and inviting and the manager is very friendly. Our server was slow and inattentive and the timing of our meals left a lot to be desired. The food was very good, and the "special menu" had some great choices. I'm still not sure about the regular menu, if there is one, because we didn't see it. I wonder if they still have the shrimp and grits that I loved so much. I changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars for now. I'll go back again and hopefully be able to give a higher rating.

Great service. Caters to people with food allergies. Husband has Celiac disease and they carry a special beer for him. Wednesday is 4.99 burger night. Tuesday has live music. Come support this little gem. Hangover burger is da bomb.

The shrimp and grits were amazing. The burger was average. It gets 2 stars because of the people. Friends of the bartender, Laurel, we're obnoxious. One guy dressed in a sweater vest and tie was screaming F bombs left and right. This is not a very large establishment and there were many children in the dining area. However, the icing on the cake was when the opening ceremony of the Olympics came on TV. When the Armenian team was announced, he proceeded to state that all Armenians are rapists. I take serious offense to that as I married into an Armenian family. My wife was nearly in tears so we finished our beers and left. We won't be back

Okay, we've given this place 3 tries, all fails. The food was either fair or bad all three times. To make it worse, each time we left smelling like old cooking oil! I kid you not. I was not the only one in the party who noticed that. This place does not know what it wants to be. An "Italian wine bar" with sports playing on 3 loud TVs? Loud patrons at the bar. Smokers hanging out near the entrance. Except for the overpriced Italian wines, there is zero sense of Italy anywhere in this place. Call it a sports bar and we might give it another try. Good for a cheap beer, maybe..

Burgers are the way to go! Pasta was lacking, but the burgers rocked. Blue cheese, hangover and turkey burger all were delish.!!!iced tea was unfortunately quite weak. Onion rings w ere more batter than onion, and the sauce was so damn spicy that nobody at the table of 5 could eat it. Pretzel bread appetizer was delicious!!!

Just came back from an excellent meal! Shrimp and grits are to die for irregardless of the incredibly rude gentleman who was sitting at the next table offering his "expert advice" on how they should be served. The manager couldn't have been more professional when dealing with him. I was impressed with her and the whole experience. Wine was excellent with a generous pouring. Loved this place.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
